Description

Distilled Dried Grains and Solubles (DDGS) is a premium, nutrient-dense co-product obtained from the dry-mill ethanol production process. When grains (predominantly corn) are processed, the starch is entirely extracted and fermented into ethyl alcohol. What remains is a concentrated mix of the grain’s original protein, fat, fiber, and minerals, enriched further by the nutrients from the spent yeast. This wet mash is separated into solids (distillers grains) and liquids (solubles). The liquids are concentrated into a syrup, blended back with the solids, and dried thoroughly in industrial rotary dryers. The final product is a golden-brown, granular material with a pleasant, slightly sweet, toasted aroma.

Main Areas
of Use

  • 01

    Beef Cattle Rations

An exceptional feed choice for beef cattle. The fermentation process removes the starch, leaving behind high levels of “bypass protein” (protein that escapes degradation in the rumen and is absorbed directly in the small intestine), driving highly efficient weight gain.

  • 02

    Dairy Cow Feed

Extensively utilized to increase milk production and improve milk fat composition, thanks to its balanced blend of highly digestible energy-rich fats and structural fibers.

  • 03

    Poultry and Swine Diets

Incorporated into precise feed formulations for chickens, turkeys, and pigs to supply essential amino acids and phosphorus, substantially lowering overall commercial feed costs.

  • 04

    Aquafeed

Increasingly adopted in sustainable fish farming (aquaculture) formulas as a partial replacement for costly marine fish meal.
