High Purity Liquified Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) sourced from fermentation is a prime example of industrial sustainability. When yeast ferments the sugars in corn or grains to produce ethanol, it naturally releases massive volumes of highly concentrated CO₂ gas as a co-product. Instead of letting it escape into the atmosphere, biorefineries capture this “biogenic” gas. It undergoes a rigorous scrubbing, washing, and multi-stage purification process to strip out moisture and trace volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
