Liquified CO₂

Description

High Purity Liquified Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) sourced from fermentation is a prime example of industrial sustainability. When yeast ferments the sugars in corn or grains to produce ethanol, it naturally releases massive volumes of highly concentrated CO₂ gas as a co-product. Instead of letting it escape into the atmosphere, biorefineries capture this “biogenic” gas. It undergoes a rigorous scrubbing, washing, and multi-stage purification process to strip out moisture and trace volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The purified gas is then compressed and cooled into a clear, odorless liquid at high pressure. Because its origin is biological fermentation rather than fossil fuel combustion, it naturally achieves a purity level exceeding 99.9%, comfortably meeting strict food, beverage, and medical grades.

Main Areas
of Use

  • 01

    Carbonated Beverages

The primary ingredient responsible for the fizz, crisp texture, and shelf-life extension in soft drinks, mineral waters, beer, and energy drinks.

  • 02

    Food Preservation & Flash Freezing

Utilized in the form of dry ice or liquid spray for cryogenic freezing and chilled transport. It keeps meat, poultry, and prepared foods fresh without degrading cell structures.

  • 03

    Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP)

Injected into food packaging (like salad bags or snack packs) to displace oxygen, halting bacterial growth and preventing food from oxidizing or spoiling.

  • 04

    Water Treatment

Used in municipal and industrial water facilities to safely balance pH levels in alkaline water, offering a highly controllable alternative to harsh mineral acids.

  • 05

    Medical Gases

Formulated into specialized breathing gas mixtures used during surgeries and clinical procedures.
